After the band stops prior the race everyone is able to purchase beverages and food at the tent. It's less crowded (as of now but that will hopefully change), they have a selection of beverages from assorted beers and wines. On the heat Beth started on the pole and walked away with 1st place. In the feature Beth started 3rd, by lap 2 she moved up to 2nd and then the caution flag came out. On the re-start the #87 was on the outside with the green and ran that line for several laps fighting for 1st with Chris McTaggart. She was unable to make that pass though due to the car starting to work itself back to being tight. Beth then fell back to 2nd place and held that position until the checkered flag. It was a very close race between the top 3 cars, lots bumping and bumper to bumper driving to the end of the race for an exciting finish! Congrats Beth for her hard work and to Chris McTaggart for earning his win.

What started out as a disappointing day ended up being a great night when we went to Waxy O'Connor's after the race. Thanks to our sponsors for their support and hospitality. We had a great dinner, drinks and good company with special guest of the night Rob Ninkovich from the New England Patriots, Gordon & Barry the proprietors of Waxy's.

The next day the motor came out and found the head had a small pin hole as the cause of the mechanical troubles. The engine is expected be all back together and ready for next week’s race.
